Sydney Study Tour

000

From 10th - 17th April, 2019, three teachers accompanied thirty P.1-6 students and eight parents to Sydney for the school study tour. The tour was a success because students evidently enjoyed the two school visits at St Michael’s Catholic Primary Lane Cove and St Aloysius Catholic Primary School Cronulla.

Students were particularly keen to learn about the students’ school life in Sydney. Students appreciated about the learning and teaching as well as to be showed around the schools. Apart from the schoo visits, it was our great honour to participate the Sunday Mass at St Kevin’s Catholic Church during Easter.

The city tour in different iconic scenic spots, such as Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, Blue Mountains National Park, Taronga Zoo and Australian Museum, St Kevin’s Catholic Church, Gertrude Abbott and Gertrude Abbott Aged Care and The Sister Anne Court and Fish Market, added a good value to the study tour as well. Our students took highly interest to enjoy nature of Blue Mountains and learned about the history of the Waradah Aboriginal.

The study tour helps us open ourselves to many learning opportunities in different aspects. This tour definitely has broadened our horizon and helped our students appreciate other country’s geographical location and culture.
