1.Healthy diet at school scheme

A: Policy details - Lunch

003

In order to promote the importance of healthy diet , our school will collect information from teachers, parents, students and foods suppliers to ensure students have healthy lunch boxes at school. Besides that, when our school has contractual relationship with the selected food supplier, the suppliers has to obey lunch nutrition rule of primary schools. Parents and students know lunch nutrition well through the lunch order form, so that they can make their healthy and favorites choices. The food supplier has to provide one serving of vegetables in every lunch box and provide at least two servings of fruits a week.

B: Policy details - Snack 001

The school highly discourages students to eat snacks with low nutrition value or with much fat, sugar and salt, for example chocolate, sugar, chips and cookies. When parents are preparing snack box for their child, we recommend healthy snacks and a bottle of water. Healthy snacks include fresh fruits, sugar-free dried fruit, sugar-free soy milk and low-fat cheese. Water fountains have been set up in the school playground and hall to provide quality drinkable water. The school is eager to facilitate nutrition education among parents, for example through circulars, leaflets, seminars and workshop. In addition, school will invite student healthy ambassadors to guide, encourage and reward students to select healthy food.
